Welcome to the newly created Blog ESSENES JEWISH AND REAL.


This is a group for יהודים who feel a sense of deep identification with the איסיים (the Essenes). This group is for Jews who, when reading about the Isi'im, feel nostalgia and longing for a Judaism that was, and a profound yearning for it to be again.

Our way leads to the Self-realization and, on an even more deeply satisfying level, the Mutual-Realization of Mashiach. That is what differentiates us from the Prushim (Pharisees). This general principle is what guides our entire approach to תורה (Torah) והמצות (and the commandments).

A strong background in תורה שבכתב and תושב"ע are highly recommended. יהודים who are not firmly grounded in the tradition, but demonstrate a sincere desire to learn, will also be welcomed.

Reading comprehension of עברית לשון הקדש is also highly recommended, as posts will necessarily be made, at least in part, in עברית. Hebrew software will, therefore, be necessary. Knowledge of ארמית will be helpful too.

All those applying for membership will be asked to demonstrate their level of knowledge of יהדות ועברית in their request for membership.

All postings will be respectful.
